my history as an illustrator in the St. Paul and Minneapolis metro

My Story... 

Growing up on the east side of theTwin Cities (Saint Paul & Minneapolis, Minnesota),  I earned my Associates degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design from  St. Paul Technical College in 1980.
At the start of my career, I worked for various advertising agencies in the Twin Cities specializing in graphic production and design, typesetting and illustration. All the while using "traditional mediums”; i.e., technical pen, pen & ink, rubber cement, x-Acto knifes, ruby & amber lith, watercolors, acrylic and oil paints, markers, scratchboard, pencils, charcoals and pastels. It was like the show “Mad Men” without the smoking and drinking!
In the early ‘90s, advertising agencies were starting to convert to a digital platform using in-house computers.  At that time, I was just starting my own business as a self-employed illustrator and graphic designer. Not wanting to be left behind, in 1993, I self taught myself on my first Macintosh Quadra 650 computer and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and QuarkXPress software. 
Currently, with years of experience behind me,  I have extensive expertise using both Mac and PC based Adobe CS Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightwave 3D modeling/rendering software. My illustration styes include, medical procedure and device illustration, 3D rendering, technical, stylized and much more.
